Reasons For Elder Abuse
Nursing home abuse is very common. There could be a staff shortage that leaves them unable to provide a high standard of care or an unprofessional aid can be bothered by your loved ones’ constant calling.
However, there’s never a reason to abuse an older adult. You’re loved one can be overwhelming to care for at times, but as older adults age, compassionate care is necessary.
What to Look For
We’ll also show you what to look for when a care facility is doing right by your loved one. Oftentimes, people will be in denial or don’t know what to do when they expect their loved one is being abused.
Reporting the issue to the property department heads at the facility can make the abuse worse. Our goal is to bring awareness to abuse and neglect in a care facility and how to identify the warning signs.
